My Story

Deborah Lofton is a Registered Nurse with over twenty-eight years of nursing experience. Her experience includes working with children, adults, hospice, and elderly populations in both hospital and home health settings. Her duty in each setting includes educating patients and families on disease processes and treatments. One of her many community outreach accomplishments included being the creator and Publisher of the Alabama Health Advertiser.

This health news magazine provided easy to read information on disease processes and was made available to the public free of charge. The publication was distributed through store outlets and supercenters, hospitals, libraries, and churches to its readers across Alabama. Her community service included the creation of a non-profit organization, Abundant Grace Ministries which distributed incontinence supplies to homebound seniors and special needs children referred through local home health agencies.

She currently works as a Field Employee Safety Coordinator and Quality Nurse. Lofton is responsible for training new employees who will work in the field visiting members in the hospital and homes. Her responsibilities include the creation of a safety training manual, annual training for all company staff and leading a safety task force to ensure the safety of employees across the state of Alabama. As Quality Nurse her job is to conduct compliance outreaches to insured members.
